Ms. Laura Weaver serves as a Board member.  She, is a school guidance counselor at Lucas Crossing Elementary School in the Normandy Schools Collaborative. 

 

She received a B.S in Political Science from Grambling State University. She received her teaching certification from Harris Stowe State College; an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University; as well  as a M.Ed. in Professional and School Counseling from Lindenwood University. Ms. Weaver has recently completed an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S) form Lindenwood.  

 

Ms. Weaver has proudly served in the Normandy Schools for over 20 years.  In addition to being a guidance counselor, she taught Kindergarten, and Third through Sixth grades.

A personal favorite quote is "Kids don't care how you know, till they know how much you care." Ms. Weaver truly believes this and she is really enjoying her role in encouraging all children to strive for their personal best. She is still excited to be working with the students, teachers, administrators, and parents to build happy, safe and productive citizens.
