Shakira Cozart is a passionate singer, educator, entrepreneur, and creative visionary whose journey has been shaped by a lifelong love for music, education, creativity, and service. She has been singing since the age of five, and in 1999 she began her journey into recording. What began as a childhood passion has grown into a multifaceted career that allows her to use her gifts to inspire, educate, create, and encourage others.

As an artist, Shakira is committed to continuing her musical journey while developing new creative projects. Her love for music has remained a constant throughout her life, and she continues to record and develop music that reflects her experiences, faith, creativity, and purpose. Her upcoming album, “Born of the Spirit,” is being developed in collaboration with 4pointe Entertainment and represents another meaningful chapter in her musical journey.

Beyond music, Shakira has dedicated more than 30 years to education. Beginning her career in early childhood education, she eventually became a certified teacher in the Riverview School District, where she has served for seven years. She is a proud Kindergarten teacher who believes that early education provides the foundation for a child's growth and lifelong educational journey. Her dedication to her students and her profession was recognized when she was honored as Teacher of the Year at Danforth Elementary for the 2022–2023 school year.

Technology and STEM education are also important parts of Shakira's mission. For four years, she has partnered with the Riverview School District and Maryville University to bring STEM opportunities to students in Title I schools. Through after-school programs she sponsored, students have been introduced to coding, micro:bit technology, building structures, and science. She has also partnered with DonorsChoose and supporting organizations to provide students with innovative STEM materials and hands-on learning experiences. She believes STEM education is an essential part of preparing young people for the future. 

Shakira's entrepreneurial vision continues to expand through her creative ventures. She is developing her publishing company, Purple Flower Publishing, with plans to support music, art, poetry, lyrics, theater, and short film. She also continues to build the vision of LoveJoy Productions LLC, an event-driven company that has previously presented events including Black Tie Galas and concerts.

Her commitment to young people extends beyond the classroom. Through her involvement with AFS, an international cultural organization, she is preparing to help interview students interested in international study opportunities. She is also continuing to expand her knowledge of LEGO building and other creative educational experiences for students.

At the heart of everything Shakira does is a simple mission: to show love, remain humble, serve others, and use her gifts to make a difference. Whether through music, education, STEM, publishing, or community events, she continues to build a legacy centered on creativity, perseverance, opportunity, and
purpose.
